Why Russian manicures last three to five weeks at M. STUDIO
Water-based soaking is common in nail services because it softens tissue quickly. It can also temporarily change how the nail plate sits before product is applied. When gel is layered over that softened surface, everyday wear may show up sooner—lifting at the edge or an uneven grow-out line—as the nail returns to its stable shape.
At our Midtown studio, preparation is performed dry and with controlled technique. Using a precision e-file on the cuticle contour, we refine only what is appropriate for your nails and create an even foundation for gel application—supporting adhesion and a cleaner, more predictable grow-out.
