IBX is applied to the natural nail plate. It does not build a visible extension or add length.
Our technician applies the IBX System according to the manufacturer's treatment protocol.
Your appointment includes Russian manicure preparation before the IBX treatment.
The menu lists a 75-minute service with cuticle oil at the end. Check current pricing before confirming.
IBX is a nail-strengthening system by Famous Names. It is used on the natural nail plate rather than adding a separate hard gel or extension over the surface.
The manufacturer describes IBX as working within the upper layers of the nail plate after application and curing. It is used in professional nail care for nails that may benefit from additional support, but it is not a treatment for nail infections or other medical conditions.
The IBX System includes products with different roles. IBX Repair is used on areas the technician identifies as needing that step; IBX Strengthen follows the manufacturer's application protocol for the nail plate.
Not every nail needs the same preparation. Your technician should check the condition of your nails and apply the products according to the actual IBX instructions, rather than promising one result for every client.
The manufacturer’s procedure begins on a clean, prepared natural nail. The product is applied thinly, exposed to gentle heat for the time specified by the manufacturer, blotted if needed, and then cured with a suitable LED or UV lamp before cleansing.
A first application and a follow-up appointment are not necessarily identical. The number of product applications and timing depend on the manufacturer's current protocol and the condition of the nails.
This describes the manufacturer’s protocol. M.STUDIO’s specific heating and curing steps are awaiting confirmation.

Builder gel and hard gel add a visible layer of structure to the nail and can change its shape or strength as a coating. IBX is a separate nail-treatment process; it does not create an extension or replace a builder-gel overlay.
If you want added length or a structured gel finish, book the appropriate gel service. If you want to discuss the condition of your natural nails, the IBX appointment is the relevant option.
The technician looks at your natural nails, checks for sensitivity or remaining product, and shapes the nail edges. If you are arriving with gel, acrylic or hard material, book the correct removal option in advance.
Russian manicure preparation is included in this service. The cuticle area is worked on without soaking, using the technique appropriate for your nails and skin.
Our technician applies the IBX System according to the manufacturer's treatment protocol.
The appointment ends with cuticle oil and an explanation of what was applied. Ask your technician when another appointment may be appropriate rather than trying to repeat the procedure yourself at home.
If the surface of your nails peels or the free edge keeps splitting, an IBX consultation can help determine whether this treatment is suitable for the current condition of the nail plate.
Clients who do not want added thickness from a gel overlay may prefer to ask about a nail-treatment appointment. Severe thinning, tenderness or unusual changes to the nail still need appropriate assessment.
If you are moving away from frequent gel appointments, you may want to discuss IBX as part of natural nail care. Any existing product needs to be removed appropriately, and the technician must check the nail condition before proceeding.
IBX is a cosmetic nail service. It is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment of nail disorders.
These are different services available at M.STUDIO. The photographs show examples of those services, not IBX treatment results.

A Japanese manicure uses polishing paste and powder to create a visible shine on bare nails. IBX uses different products and a heat-and-light-curing process; the main purpose is not to produce a polished mirror finish.

A gel manicure adds a cured color or clear coating on top of the prepared nail. IBX is a separate treatment process and should not be mistaken for the gel color itself.

Builder gel creates an overlay that can add structure and support to the finished nail. IBX does not provide the same visible thickness or sculpted shape.

Thank you so much for the service and the comfortable studio. My nail tech Ivanna created a very rare cat's eye color with chrome. The result exceeded my expectations.
Love Nataly. She is a great technician!
Malika is the ONE! She's not just a nail artist but a nail surgeon/architect! The attention to detail and flawless technique were next level. Also first time getting a Russian manicure and my god I don't know how I went so long without it!
I absolutely love my nails and Deyla did a wonderful job. She suggested certain fall colors and I ended up loving the color choice she recommended! The salon is very nice and relaxing.
Iva is literally the best here! Been going for a year plus. She loves designs and most importantly my nails last 4 weeks! Overall, amazing customer service at M. STUDIO.
This place is truly the best Russian Manicure I have gotten. My nails are still on and going strong over 4 weeks later. Professional, clean, and a fantastic manicure.
Meticulous Russian manicure that lasts +4 weeks despite me using my hands a lot. Repeat customer — highly recommend. They were also able to do a last-minute manicure for my mother!
I have come several times for Russian manicures and they have always turned out amazing. The last one lasted 6 weeks with no chips. Would definitely recommend M. STUDIO!
The team is meticulous, committed, and creative — always able to see out my vision. I started going here because I wanted my manicures to last longer and they do!
What a fantastic experience at M. STUDIO! The salon itself is very nice and clean. Sweet, incredibly talented technicians and super efficient appointments.
The best of the best. Kind, welcoming, warm technicians. My nails last a minimum of 3 weeks but I can usually push to 4!
Very detail-oriented team that takes time to make sure you are happy and your nails look perfect. Will be coming back every visit to NY.
Amazing ombré chrome manicure! I've never had a Russian gel manicure but this was the best manicure I've had in NY. Such attention to detail.
Absolutely amazing job — my pink chrome manicure is flawless! Outstanding service and attention to detail. I couldn't be happier!
IBX is a professional nail-strengthening system from Famous Names used on the natural nail plate. It follows an application process with gentle heat and UV/LED curing rather than adding a thick gel overlay.
IBX Repair is used on areas that need that part of the manufacturer's treatment protocol. IBX Strengthen is the main application step for the natural nail plate; your technician decides which steps apply to your nails.
Yes. The manufacturer's directions include a curing step with a suitable UV or LED lamp after applying and warming the product. IBX is not a no-lamp polishing treatment.
No. A Japanese manicure buffs paste and powder over bare nails for a glossy look, without a gel curing lamp. IBX is a different product system and is not meant to give the same visible polished finish.
No. Builder gel adds a structural coating to the nail, while IBX follows a separate application process focused on the natural nail plate. IBX does not create extensions or replace the visible shape of a builder-gel overlay.
The service may be worth discussing if your nails peel or break easily, but suitability depends on their current condition. Very painful, unusually discolored, lifting or severely damaged nails should be checked by an appropriate healthcare professional before a cosmetic appointment.
An IBX appointment may be possible after appropriate product removal and an assessment of the natural nail plate. If you still have gel or hard material on your nails, choose the required removal option in advance and tell the studio about any tenderness.
The listed service is approximately 75 minutes and includes Russian manicure preparation, the IBX treatment and cuticle oil. Removal or extra add-ons can change the required appointment time.
The 75-minute appointment includes Russian Manicure, IBX Repair & Strengthen Treatment, and Cuticle Oil Application. Choose your service and technician in online booking to see current prices and available appointments. Removal, optional extras, taxes and applicable fees may affect the total.
The manufacturer's first-visit and follow-up protocols are not identical, and there is no one schedule that should be promised to every client. Your technician can advise when another appointment makes sense after checking your nails and the treatment instructions.
